FONDAZIONE TELETHON
Fondazione Telethon is a non-profit organization recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research. We were founded in 1990 in response to calls by people suffering from rare diseases. Right from the start, we have always listened to patients, to provide the answers they need. Every day. We manage fundraising activities and guarantee the necessary resources for our research projects. These projects are subjected to rigorous assessments on the part of an independent, international Scientific and Medical Committee.
Since 1990, Fondazione Telethon has invested over 623 million euros in research, funded 2804 projects, involved 1676 researchers and studied more than 580 diseases.
