AGITO, Associazione Genitori Insieme Tumori Ossei, is a patient and familyled
organization committed to improving the lives of those affected by bone sarcomas.
We work to advance early diagnosis, strengthen patient support, and accelerate
research.
Bone sarcomas are rare, aggressive, and lifealtering cancers that primarily affect
children and young adults. Nearly 60% of patients are between 10 and 20 years old.
Because of their rarity and the limited investment in research, firstline treatments for
osteosarcoma have remained unchanged for more than 40 years, and for Ewing
sarcoma for over 20 years. These two diseases represent the most common forms of
bone sarcoma.
This year, our goal is to fund the position of a dedicated researcher focused on
preclinical studies in bone sarcomas, with the aim of identifying new therapeutic
approaches that are more effective and have fewer side effects.
We invest in research to give children and young adults with bone sarcoma the future
they deserve.
