MAIS OdV (Movement for International Self-Development in Solidarity) is a non-profit organization
founded in 1987. Our mission is to empower vulnerable populations through ‘Distance Support’—a
key tool for fostering community self-reliance. Beyond expanding access to education, we are
committed to providing protection, improving health outcomes, and facilitating workforce
integration. Today, MAIS operates in Argentina, Brazil, Congo, Eswatini, India, Madagascar, and
South Africa. Our 16 active projects—including family homes and vocational centers—reach over
6,000 direct beneficiaries annually, supporting more than 1,000 students from primary school
through to university graduation.
