Its major obiective is the prevention of dangerous arrhythmias, which could
lead to sudden death in young people. Every year in Italy, about 4 young people out of 100,000 inhabitants
lose their lives due to these pathologies. Prevention is for pre-school children and teenagers who, while
attending lessons at school, are given electrocardiographic examinations at no charge to their parents. This
campaign is managed in collaboration with the Bambino Gesù and Niguarda hospitals. The charity also
funds research conducted by the Department of Biology of the University of Padua for a drug which
possibly can cure arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy, one of the main causes of sudden death. For more
